The Importance of Color Temperature

This is an important topic that the public doesn't fully understand. It will continue to be a dominant light-choice criterion in the post-incandescent lamp era. An incandescent lamp produces light across the full spectrum of visible light colors, with an average of 2700K (degrees Kelvin), a yellowish white light. Sunlight averages in the 5000K+ range. Fluorescent lamps produce specific color temperatures according to the phosphor used in the tube.
